The Comparison of cell mediated immunity in various liver diseases

Abstract
|
|
|
Delayed type hypersensitivity reaction to recall antigen was measured by use of multitest CMI kit in patients with acute viral hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, primary hepatocellular carcinoma and in healthy individuals as control.
Patients with acute hepatitis demonstrated skin reaction 14.48±11.90 (Mean±SD). While patients with liver cirrhosis, hepatoma and healthy volunteers did the following results(11.95±10.47, 4.81±5.41 and 29.25 ±23.39 respectively, unit : cm).
It is concluded that cell mediated immunity is decreased particularly in patients of hepatoma,and liver cirrhosis and acute hepatitis in similar degree compared to healthy individuals.
